Over a lot of years I have used many mini of Ina Garten‘s recipes. Many views are classic go to recipes for me and I was no beginner cook when I discovered her. I’m like so many other people who are featuring shows and cookbooks there it has never been a bad recipe 50 and not work beautifully from owners repertoire. I wish she had more permanent place and television just now in 2024 because I enjoyed her her friends her house and her wonderful husband Jeffrey. And then top of all that she’s just a damn pretty woman with a lot of chutzpah.

That is way too big for me to eat, but it looks amazing. Just putting a little better on your bagel and toasting it in the morning and then putting your cream cheese or jelly or whatever is so good.

Greek person here: we do not use lamb in pastichio. Ground beef only. Why does everyone think that Greeks always eat lamb in everything? Also, we do not mix the meat sauce with the béchamel. Separate layers. We do not use eggs or yoghurt in the béchamel either. Parmesan cheese is too nutty for this, we use kefalotyri or graviera… it’s similar to a hard sharp provolone, which you can use if the Greek cheese is hard to find. Finally, use pastichio pasta, or bucatini if it’s easier to find. Rigatoni, ziti, and penne also works in a pinch. It has to be a tube pasta.
